MIKE LOH | SingaporeMike Loh started in the furniture trade back in the 1990s with the largest furniture company in Singapore. With more than a decade experience in furniture manufacturing, he founded Strads Design (Shanghai) in 2005. The small factory he started has now grown into a full facility manufacturing operation with more than a hundred skilled employees. Mike launched his own furniture collection in 2008 with his team of European designers, known as “Michael Strads Collection”. It has since been recognized and gained popularity internationally with many established stores. Today, he continues his mission to create unique designs with exquisite workmanship and develop and conceptualize quality lifestyle furniture every season.

NIELS GAMMELGAARD | DenmarkDesigner Niels Gammelgaard, was educated at the Royal Danish Acade¬my of Fine Arts and graduated in 1970 as an industrial designer. Before graduating, Niels founded his first architect studio Box 25 architects and his second studio with Pelikan Design. He worked with many European companies, e.g Fritz Hansen, Bent Krogh, Cappelini and Mateo Grassi. Niels has many years of experience in industrial design and knows how to make a design comfortable.

JORDI DEDEU | SpainJordi Dedeu first studied architecture and sculpture, then he continued his studies at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia for a Master degree in Design and Products Development while he was working as a design director of furniture company. He founded his own design company in 1989 and since 2006 most of his work is dedicated to contract business. His designs have been shown and have been awarded with design prizes in the Shanghai, Guangzhou and Milan furniture fairs.

BRUNO VIEGAS | PortugalBorn in Olhão south of Portugal in 1981, Bruno Viegas graduated with a degree in Communication Master Design. Bruno Viegas designed a long line-up of commercial products for numerous leading Portuguese and international companies. He redefines decorative arts for the contemporary age, uses innovative technologies and materials with remarkable design sensibility and creates atmospheres and objects with a strong emotional effect.

CLAIRE TRANIER | FranceClaire Tranier graduated with a Master 1 degree in Product Design (DIPLÔME SUPÉRIEUR DES ARTS APPLIQUÉS) in Strasbourg, France. After a stint as an intern at renown design firm, StokkeAustad in Oslo, Norway, she decided to relocate to China to further pursue her interest in Chinese art and design. She graduated from the Suzhou Art and Design Technology Institute in 2015 and became a furniture and graphic designer for Michael Strads in the Shanghai office. She started her own company in 2018 in the United Kingdom where she lives and continue to design for Michael Strads.
